Supporting events
The Street containers action, aiming to set up over 400 street collection bins throughout Slovenia, will be supported by numerous (40) ECO theme days, divided into three sets:
Opening event / launching street containers
At the opening event the purpose of street containers is presented to the local environment. Together with municipalities and local public service companies for waste management we place them at waste bin areas and other locations in the participating municipalities.
Workshop „E-waste and our environment“
The educational workshop “e-waste and our environment” is the second event after launching the street containers, intended for youths. At the workshop, the participants are informed about the correct management of e-waste and waste batteries in the local environment, the micro locations of the street containers and the harmful impacts for the environment in case of inappropriate management of such waste.
Cultural and social event
The third part of the street containers action is the cultural and social event. We will present the results achieved in the local environment after a certain period of time to local environment in a fun and interesting way.
